A landing page promotes a unique offering. For example, a roofing contractor offering two services – roof repair and new roof installation – will have two landing pages; one promoting roof repair while the other selling new installation services.
Each landing page is considered as a separate entity in an SEO campaign. All the SEO activities are separately executed for each landing page. In fact, even though an SEO package is designed for the whole website, the execution is done at the landing page level. Therefore, more landing pages requires more effort and consequently higher SEO packages.
As a best practice, each landing page is initially optimized for 5-10 keywords. A few months later this number can be changed based on the number of times the page appears in search engine result pages. More landing pages necessitates more keywords leading to higher packages.
Consider taking an SEO package that includes 10-25 keywords: 3-5 branded keywords, 5-10 purchase-intent keywords for the landing page, and 5-10 informative keywords. Informative keywords attract people at the early stage of the purchase cycle and creates the pipeline of prospects.
